The Animas Museum hosted two wonderful programs this week!
On Thursday, Mark Winter from Toadlena Trading Post gave a talk about Navajo weavings, showed beautiful examples of the Two Grey Hills artistic styles, and brought a family of weavers to demonstrate the process. Mark's knowledge and enthusiasm for Navajo weaving allows for truly engaging programs and combines perfectly with the incredible products and talent of the weavers in the Two Grey Hills region.
Today, Kathy Szelag and Margi Coxwell presented the History of Halloween, a fun and informative program that explored the traditions of black cats, pumpkins, witches, jack-o-lanterns, evil spirits, masquerade balls and more! Decorations and treats topped off the fun holiday affair.
